S-Connect, a mobile phone part manufacturer, commercializes medical device targeting at an era of Internet of the Things. They joined with KT, targeting
IoT-based healthcare market. S-Connect(CEO Soon Kwan Park) declared on 23rd that they will launch a urine analyzer equipped with 3G mobile telecommunication module next month. Company officials explained, we have completed relevant certification, targeting market release on 1st of July.
Urine analyzer is a device which helps health management of dialysis patient requiring urine test, patients with chronic disease, and pregnant woman.
It helps prevent disease or manage it by self-measuring health condition easily like blood glucose monitoring device.
People are paying attention to the smart function of the new product, which S-Connect developed. Extraordinarily it embeds 3G telecommunication module
and Android OS like smartphone 117. It enhances ease regardless of time and place, capable of running (an) application reinforcing information delivery and expandability.
S-Connect explains that one can frequently and remotely check out his parents health living far apart, not to mention his own health by easy and convenient
self test in everyday life. S-Connect has commercialized urine analyzer this time through cooperation with KT. Both companies, surveying technical issues necessary to the IoT270, has agreed to cooperate in industrialization and marketing. S-Connect is aiming at full-scale approach toward medical device business
since its initial launch in 2010 it promotes as ‘a new growth engine’, and healthcare market.
S-Connect adds that it intends to focus on medical device which an individual can easily use, and that this is the first B2C market product, and plan to develop it into wearable device later on.
